8/16/21 - The day started a bit early with a boat ride on St. Mary's Lake and 4 mile hike to two sets of falls. Pretty smokey this morning early and in fact you could really smell the smoke early morning.

2015 wild fire on the east side of the park started unintentionally by two backpackers. 100,000 acres burned.

St. Mary's Falls... worth the hike.

Second falls on the St. Mary's Falls just below Virginia Falls which we didn't have enough time to see. Needed to catch a ride back on the boat.

Headed back on the return boat and then onto Logan Pass. Along the way there was a great roadside waterfalls. Got a little damp.

Going to the Sun tunnel

Logan Pass was a 6 mile hike to Hidden Lake and a 500 ft. elevation gain. The day did get clearer later in the day. The two hikes combined pushed us to 10 miles for the day at 7,000 ft. Whew even Wendy was worn out.

Looks like a hike in the Himalaya's

Hidden Lake at 7,100 ft in the mountains.

Mountain men! Well sort of.
