 8/18/21 - 8/19/21

BLOG Note - double click on the pics to view a larger picture.

8/18 - Today was a boat ride on Two Medicine Lake to our hike to Hidden Lake & Twin Falls.

Open range horses out for a stroll on the hour trip over to Two Medicine Lake. The Hereford area would be besides themselves with horses on the loose

The boat we were on was recently refurbished, built in 1926

Nice 5 mile hike with little elevation gain to Upper Medicine Lake.

Trail Pics - Foggy day but finally the wildfire smoke cleared out.

Moose and a baby on our trail!

After returning from the Two Hidden Lake hike we took a very short hike to Running Eagle Falls in the Two Medicine Lake area. The stream flows behind a large overhead rock making it look like it was coming right out of the mountain.
We capped the day off with a Park Ranger sponsored Native American - Blackfeet program which was awesome. The gentleman leading the group gave very insightful background on the dress and the meaning of each dance.

8/19 - Today started off sunny with clearing skies, first since we have been in Glacier. Going to the Sun Road was on the agenda to take advantage of the weather. These are pics starting in St Mary's on the east side of the park to Apgar Village/West Gate, 49 miles at the other end of the NP. Just incredible views along the way.
Goose Island on St. Mary's Lake. Best Buds Wendy and Janet.

Lake McDonald Falls

Lake McDonald at Apgar Village. Need I say more.

Apgar Village - Pic of the Village Inn where we stayed with our friends Rick & Katie Skovira in 2013. The Inn is right on Lake McDonald. Not fancy but nice.

Great Day!
