8/20/21 Likely the best hike ever! Today we tackled the Grinnell Glacier trail, an 8 mile trex with a 1,750 elevation gain topping out at 6,600 feet at the base of the glacier. The hike started out with a boat ride from Many Glacier Lodge with a short 1/2 hike for another boat to Swift Current Lake and the start of the Grinnell Glacier hike.

Mid way on the trail
The glacier in the pic is where we are headed.
Lake Grinnell which is the lower lake from the glacier. The color comes from the glacial flour (grinding rock into a power that is suspended in the water)

Still about 1.5 miles away from the glacier
Almost there

Upper Lake of Grinnell Glacier with complete with Icebergs.

A view from the top looking back. The 3rd lake in the distance is about where we started the hike.
Weeping wall

Rainy on the hike back but typical Glacier NP it doesn't last long.
Full moon over the mountain ridge from our home away from home.
