9/4/21 Travel day down the Olympic coastline. Today we are near Forks, Washington  brought to fame  by the teen book Twilight and then a trilogy movie. Actually, nothing was filmed in Forks because Washington State did not offer any tax incentives. British Columbia just up the coast in Canada was the big winner. At any rate Forks is a nice little coastal town.

Fork's Timber Museum was actually pretty good

Nice hike 3 mile hike at Rialto Beach in the rain to Split Rock and Hole in the Wall. We all got pretty wet, but luckily temps were in the mid 60's. Rock formations which used to part of the coastline now in the ocean are pretty interesting.

  1. Doesn't it just make you want to read the books, Mike? We had ice cream in Forks this summer--glad you got to see it. Beautiful area, and beautiful pictures!
