8/3/21 - This morning we said goodbye to our super good friends Jon & Beth Luikart. Such a great time together!

Travel day into Montana to see Little Big Horn Battlefield where Col. George Custer fought his last battle.

Honestly, I was surprised to find that the battle was fought on a top of a hillside and not on an open flat field. Grave markers mark where the solders died. The majority, some 200 are buried at the top of the hill at the base of a monument which bares their names. The views were spectacular.

Custer's marker where he died. His remains were later moved to West Point in Ny.
The site also included a monument to the Native Americans who also died in the battle, some 60 to 100 individuals.

Finally, Montana sticker made it on the Camper since we were spending the night in the state. Several U.S. states to go.
